Greenpeace 2 - Flower
Project Description
Project Description
The installation participant sits/stands in front of the screen, where they are presented with a watering can. camera, and graphical interface. On the screen are three dead/wilted flowers in a desert. When the participant picks up and tilts the watering can, rain starts to fall on the screen. As they move the can back and forth in front of the screen (and camera), the rain follows. The relationship between the watering can and rain is indicated by a cloud on the screen.
The participant is left with "You can help keep nature alive." This interactive piece is part of a Greenpeace advertising campaign designed around the idea that "You can help." We want participants to feel empowered that they can make a difference by physically watering the virtual flowers.
